A native of San Juan de los Lagos, Jalisco, Mexico, Mr. Padilla was a long time resident of San Francisco who recently moved to Hayward. Jose Padilla married Carmen Casillas on February 26, 1960 , they were preparing to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary.
Mr. Padilla is survived by his wife Carmen Padilla Casillas, his 7 children, Juan Padilla & wife Micaela; Jesse Padilla & wife Martha; Gabriel Padilla & wife Irene; Raul Padilla & wife Edna; Lorenzo Padilla & wife Lisa; Mari Padilla-Tezel & husband Jose; and Monica Padilla & husband Paul Altamirano. His 24 grandchildren: Daniel, Ruben, Jennifer, Angela, Jesse Jr, Matthew, Carmen, Laura, Gabriel Jr, Montserrat, Raul Jr, Christina, Raquel, Rebecca, Lorena, Lorenzo Jr, Vanessa, Adriana, Briana, Angelina, Leticia, Sarah, Cynthia, and Paul Jr; 2 great-grandchildren, Ricky Jr., and Delano Jr., as well as his sister, Gregoria Munoz, also survive him. He was preceded in death by his siblings: Cerebanda, Rita, Lorenzo, Maria del Rosario, Matilde (Grande), Felipe, Francisco, Gerardo, and Matilde (Chica), and his parents, Onofre and Maria Padilla.
