Elena Moreno Gomez went to heaven peacefully on February 9, 2010 at the age of 84 at St. Luke's Hospital in San Francisco, surrounded by her family. Beloved daughter of Angel Moreno and Maria de Jesus Lopez. She was born in Mexico on August 12, 1925, where she was raised. She is survived by her husband of 64, years Jesus Gomez Alvarez. They made San Francisco their permanent home since 1965, where they raised their nine beloved children.
Mrs. Gomez is survived by her husband Jesus Gomez; her 9 children, Maria de Los Angeles Picazo & husband Manuel; Heliodoro Gomez & wife Arcelia; Juan Luis Gomez & wife Maria Concepcion; Alicia Iniguez & husband Incarnacion; Humberto Gomez & wife Rosario; Teresa Gomez; Jesus Gomez & wife Diana; Elena Benavente & husband Antonio; and Sonia Gomez-Rexelius & husband Peter. She is also survived by her 18 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and by her loving younger sister, Aurora Moreno Perez.
She will be remembered and missed by all who knew her.
Memorial contributions to Diabetes research are suggested by the family.
