Maria Teresa Deboi Age 92, passed away peacefully January 20, 2010 in San Francisco. Beloved wife of the late George Deboi; devoted mother to Linda Deboi-Quesada; loving mother-in-law to Michael Quesada; adored grandmother to Vanessa, Ryan, and Nicholas. Loved by many wonderful nieces, nephews, and friends.
Maria was born in Nicaragua where she was a dedicated rural elementary school teacher. She journeyed to San Francisco with her siblings in 1946. A woman of faith, Maria was a loving, sweet, generous, courageous person with a heart of gold. She devoted her life to God and her family. She has been an inspiration to many and will continue to be universally loved. She enjoyed nature and music and in her younger years was an avid dancer to classical and big band tunes. In her later years she never missed her favorite Saturday night Lawrence Welk shows, both at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. –"wonderful, wonderful." She will be greatly missed by all.
Visitation is on Sunday, January 24 from 4-7 pm with the Rosary being said at 7 p.m. Family & friends are invited to attend. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, January 25, 10 am at St. Peter's Church, burial will follow at the Italian Cemetery.
